Apple Oatmeal Bread

As I was writing in my previous post, I am in a baking mood. BUT I don’t want to cheat too much on my low carb/sugar diet. After looking up some recipes on the internet, I made my own version of an ‘Apple Oatmeal Bread’. This bread doesn’t contain refined sugars or flour. It is still kind of cheating, but in a better way (at least in my opinion ;-)). My Apple Oatmeal bread contains the following ingredients :

  • 200g of oats (blended)
  • 80g of almond flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 170ml of almond milk
  • 1 big tablespoon of honey
  • a small cup of dried cranberries
  • 2 apples (you can also use other fruits)
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil

–> 170g carbs, 95g fats, 75g protein –> 1850 KCal for the whole bread 

–> You get 9 pieces out of this bread, so keep in mind that it is +- 200Kcal per piece 



This bread is very easy to make! You blend your oats and put them them in a bowl together with the almond flour, eggs and almond milk. You mix everything until it is smooth. Afterwards you add the honey, cranberries, coconut oil and 1 apple cut into small pieces. The other apple is cut in slices and used as topping.

Bake this bread in a preheated oven on 185 degrees.
